Position Overview:


The Property Accountant will work closely with our clients to help support across all property accounting areas.
The tasks will include both subledger and general ledger activities. 
The Property Accountant will work on various projects as they arise, providing the chance to learn new systems, processes and procedures. The below responsibilities are not an exhaustive... list, and each one could contain more sub-tasks.


Responsibilities:


This position will assist in administering all levels of Property Accounting and special projects as needed by management.
Assist with creating transactions and invoicing tenants. This will also extend to posting receipts for tenant payments.
Credit control activities will include aged debt reporting, sending arrears letters and liaising with Tenants to deal with any queries.
Supporting with coding supplier invoices and producing supplier statements.
Running the full end to end process with service charges (raising on accounts, recovering expenditure, billing voids & year end recs).
Bank reconciliations.
Assist with VAT reporting.
Month / Year end activities include closing periods, running GL reports e.g. Trial Balance and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Onboarding new portfolios – static lease data & financial opening balances.
Lease administration (reconciling existing portfolio data against the client’s leases and managing the lifecycle of leases).


Key Requirements:


Must be able to work during UK hours and South African public holidays (you will receive take UK bank holidays instead of SA bank holidays).
2-4 years’ experience as a property accountant with commercial or residential management company.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, peers, and management through written and/or verbal communication.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work under deadlines.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities.

Disputes:

The initial loading of disputes on the TPN Dispute Manager System will be logged by the Legal Administrator; there after the TPN Attorney will own the dispute process.
Liaise with consumer and client regarding the collection of all credible evidence to ensure the dispute can be fully and accurately resolved.

DOCUMENT PACK MANAGEMENT 

Management of TPN’s respective Lease, Sales and HR Packs:
Maintain latest word version of LeasePack as version control to Website documents.
Manage all change requests for bi-monthly re-view.
Liaise with drafting attorney on agreed change requests.
Provide training to members of the TPN Credit Bureau on all legal documentation provided in the TPN LeasePack, and where amendments are to be made, refer Clients to the relevant attorney to ensure he/she drafts and amends such clauses in accordance with current legislation.
Develop training programs and provide such training to clients on the relevant Packs.
Maintain a list of TPN customer’s LeasePack(s) suggestions for bi-monthly LeasePack(s) review. Notify customer of successful / rejected suggestion.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Operations Solution Analyst/Coordinator role is crucial to the success of MRI’s Professional Services (PS) organization.  The role is part of our Operations team and participates in a variety of functions that include:

Project Management
Resource Management

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Assist the Resourcing Manager and play a pivotal role in the roll out of centralized scheduling.  This will include process documentation, setup in the MRI scheduling software tool and training to Project Managers and Consultants
On-boarding new teams into the centralized scheduling process to ensure a smooth transition
Setup and on-going maintenance of skills matrices for all PS Consultants
Regular and ad-hoc reporting around resource capacity, demand and future project requirements
Schedule project resources (technical, consultancy and training services) administer additions, changes and deletions in the scheduling system
Monitor, track, and report on professional services cancellations
Attend team meetings as the operations representative to support professional teams, offer scheduling advice and overall operations best practice
Creation of new projects once the sales cycle has been completed
Coordinate activities, requests and approvals between PS and other MRI departments
Maintain project statuses and financial budgets for projects within OpenAir and SalesForce.com
Maintain documentation and internal systems to ensure efficient processing of projects and all related tasks 
Support and maintenance of Operations departmental processes and procedures
Expediting quotes, orders and query resolutions from both Project and Account Managers
Support and train the PS team in the use of OpenAir, Smartsheet’s and JIRA
Understand key data points in our systems and write ad-hoc reports to analyse data
Timesheet monitoring, escalation, and reporting
Assist with regional month-end closing procedures, invoices, and financial reconciliation
Reporting and liaising with project managers regarding clients aged debt positions
Handle invoice matching and invoice queries when required in support of the finance team 
Be proactive in carrying out tasks and activities making suggestions for process improvement where possible
