  • I left my job after my wife brought up a series of issues thinking that i has an office wife, I am not sure i made the right choice, I just did not want my marriage broken and now i cant secure a job...

I don't quite know how to put this, and I don't want my comment to come across as insensitive or dismissive. I'm simply sharing my perspective based... on my own experiences.

Personally, I think leaving your job to prove to your wife that you don't have an "office wife" is a red flag. Trust is built through honesty, consistency, and communication—not by making major sacrifices to satisfy accusations.

One thing we all need to understand is that we cannot control how someone chooses to think about us. Even if you leave your job today, there is no guarantee that another accusation won't arise in the future. If that happens, what will you sacrifice next?

I've also seen situations where men distance themselves from family and close friends to prove their loyalty to a partner, only to find themselves isolated when the relationship later faces serious challenges. The very people they pushed away often become the ones who are willing to support and understand them.

Right now, you may not be fully sure if painting or whatever passion you're considering is truly your path. If it were, you'd likely already have explored some of its challenges and rewards by now. That uncertainty means it’s time to go back to the drawing board: keep working, even if it’s not your ideal job, and save consistently while you figure things out.

If you're feeling stuck, remember it’s within your control to make your current role more fulfilling. Try learning new skills or approaching tasks differently to re-engage with your work. Meanwhile, continue preparing for your passion, but understand there’s no guarantee it will financially support you. That’s why planning, patience, and clarity.
