I need some advice. I've been working in the banking system for 5 and a half years, in the CSRV department. But I feel like this job just isn't for me. I really want to draw and create beautiful things that make people happy.
The problem is, this job leaves me no time for creativity.
I’m thinking about quitting and focusing fully on painting, but honestly – I’m scared.
What should I do?

If you can live on your saving for 3 years without a salary, then indeed you may be painting with passion and without fear of becoming needy. Fear of becoming needy might prevent you from manifesting your fullest potential in painting. Be free  more

  • I understand that working in the banking industry can take its toll, especially working in the CSRV. I would recommend that you start journaling the... encounters with the customers you speak with (as you should already be noting the conversations). Use journaling, so that you can go back, reread, and visualize the encounters, and bring them to life through your Art. Shifting your mindset from mundane thoughts to cheerful resolutions after each call. In a sense, this would be a segeway to transitioning from what pays the bills to what you love. Once you have a compilation of the scenarios, you can begin publishing your refined experiences, ultimately, creating your exit plan from your 9-5. more

  • Generally speaking, people find time to do what they really love. Keep a diary for a week and determine what takes your time. Priortize your tasks and... find your time.
If the bank job does not lead to a career you love and you can live 2 years without a paycheck, consider how you would monetize your hobby and then go for it. Otherwise you can potentially put yourself and your loved ones in much difficulty.
Listen to the advice of others and take time to critically analyze before walking away from your job, especially when others depend on it. Good Luck
