THE PURPOSE OF THE LOGISTICS MANAGER ROLE IS TO:


Be in charge of all the Logistic teams and/or coordination with the Third Party Provider: warehouse, logistic engineering and transport teams (Alstom employees or external provider) for the Rolling Stock department under the Traxx locomotive project . You manage and optimize the logistic flows to always keep the physical and system flows... aligned.


THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE:

Key Accountabilities

Main responsibilities (towards 3PL):


Ensure that the 3PL and their employees operates in an environment that complies with Alstom’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies
Ensure that the 3PL works according to the conditions and service levels agreed in the contract
Be the contact person between the Management of the 3PL and all other Alstom Departments; manage any complaints or issues concerning the 3PLand escalate if required
If the 3PL works in Alstom’s ERP, ensure that is correctly implemented and used by the 3PL
Participate in all monthly, weekly and daily meetings with the 3PL
Control and validate the 3PL’s KPI’s and invoices


Management (towards 3PL):


Manage the 3PL Supplier according to their Performance: cooperate, motivate, gratify, or intervene and escalate when required
Manage 3PLs that are in charge of the external stock (KPIs review, steering committee, manage costs, budget, invoices, define targets, monitor activities…)


Operational activities (towards 3PL):


Guarantee follow-up and performance of 3PL activities through KPIs
Analyse the Root Causes of any logistic issues and agree with the internal stakeholders and the Management of the 3PL on corrective actions. Follow up on these actions and participate in their realization

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the industrial master data is well implemented for the core site ERP system and landscapes (GSI , SES, DMP, P2P Ariba).
This role will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg. 


YOUR ROLE:


Support the implementation of new systems and their upgrade
Support and enforce the correct use of the local ERP system (GSI) , work with CFT to establish correct governances and routines around GSI/SES and the ways of work
Accountable to good use,  and correct data on ERP system. Create and manage framework with Key user and CFT teams to assure data integrity in the local ERP system, to facilitate correct outputs  in support of maintenance operations.
Manage KPI framework and report to senior management and GSI core team.
Escalation and stragety to stabalize GSI rollout for site post deployment (ExBT site)
Direct link with GSI core teams from cluster, region(PMs & RBPEs)
Mobilizing the respect, with support of ERP team of GSI core processes, ZERO deviation policy!
Mobilize GSI reporting requirements with client/contractual obligations 
Is the manager/owner for Industrial Information System Tools: ERP GSI,DMP Tools, SES...
Perform the tests before implementation or update(UATs) lead by ERP team supported by RBPE

Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 1 x PS&D Technician.
The main purpose of this role is to operate, maintain, repair and test traction propulsion power substations, traction auto-transformer paralleling substations, uninterruptible power supply equipment and associated cabling and equipment. The role also includes limited activities related to OCDS on an ad-hoc basis.
These roles will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure safe, reliable and available trains as per customer requirements, primarily through leading all train movements within the Depot.

Job Purpose

It is to provide technical support to the customer during commercial service, during preventive and corrective maintenance before and after warranty.

Key Responsibilities

Support/Interface with Engineering Department for the analysis of all data coming from the field for the purposes of resolution of technical problem on the on trains.
Report on all the anomalies found in... commercial service.
Interface with the customer and the technical fleet management to deal with all emergencies possible arising during the commercial service.
Support the customer in corrective and preventive maintenance by:
Coaching and training the customer on executing maintenance tasks, following procedures delivered by Gibela Engineering team upon request.
Respond to all requests addressed by the customer – by call or directly at technical support desk.
Train preparation, all levels of diagnostic on trains/CFM or use of on-board computerized equipment/working manuals, troubleshooting guide and train system knowledge.
Troubleshoot and repair the GIBELA Rolling Stock, in line with specified Quality procedures. This will require manual work and sometimes working on powered up trains in a safe and controlled manner.
Carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies.
Carry out train preparation, all levels of diagnostic and work arising involving the use of onboard computerized equipment/working manuals, troubleshooting guides and train system knowledge.
Undertake other duties as specified by the Team Leader and Depot Manager.
Adhere to Company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety.
Train new members of the team.
Support the Reliability team and the Field Engineer to understand the root cause of complex failures.

Minimum Requirements
