Your future role

You'll lead our Zero Defect Program, ensuring Industrial Quality compliance with customer requirements and Alstom standards. The main purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of wayside equipment maintenance required to provide passengers with a safe, effective and efficient transportation service. The role also requires providing support to Infrastructure manager in managing a multi-disciplinary team

The main purpose of this role is to ensure effective control  of adequate inventory level of materials in order to fulfill Production / Operations / Installation requirements while minimising cash immobilisation.

THE PURPOSE OF THE LOGISTICS MANAGER ROLE IS TO:


Be in charge of all the Logistic teams and/or coordination with the Third Party Provider: warehouse, logistic engineering and transport teams (Alstom employees or external provider) for the Rolling Stock department under the Traxx locomotive project . You manage and optimize the logistic flows to always keep the physical and system flows... aligned.


THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE:

Manage 3PLs that are in charge of the external stock (KPIs review, steering committee, manage costs, budget, invoices, define targets, monitor activities…)


Operational activities (towards 3PL):


Guarantee follow-up and performance of 3PL activities through KPIs
Analyse the Root Causes of any logistic issues and agree with the internal stakeholders and the Management of the 3PL on corrective actions. Follow up on these actions and participate in their realization

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the industrial master data is well implemented for the core site ERP system and landscapes (GSI , SES, DMP, P2P Ariba).
This role will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg. 


YOUR ROLE:


Support the implementation of new systems and their upgrade
Support and enforce the correct use of the local ERP system (GSI) , work with CFT to establish correct governances and routines around GSI/SES and the ways of work
Accountable to good use,  and correct data on ERP system. Create and manage framework with Key user and CFT teams to assure data integrity in the local ERP system, to facilitate correct outputs  in support of maintenance operations.
Manage KPI framework and report to senior management and GSI core team.
Escalation and stragety to stabalize GSI rollout for site post deployment (ExBT site)
Direct link with GSI core teams from cluster, region(PMs & RBPEs)

Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 1 x PS&D Technician.
The main purpose of this role is to operate, maintain, repair and test traction propulsion power substations, traction auto-transformer paralleling substations, uninterruptible power supply equipment and associated cabling and equipment. The role also includes limited activities related to OCDS on an ad-hoc basis.
These roles will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum 5 years experience in the maintenance and repair of high voltage AC electrical transmission, distribution and/or traction systems;
Railway industry experience advantageous
Sound knowledge of relevant safety regulations (Act 85 of OHSA), including electrical safety instructions 
Knowledge of auto-paralleling traction system principles
Sound knowledge of railway environment protection relays
Knowledge of local and remote switching procedures as well as work permit and earthing practices
Sound knowledge and experience of high voltage distribution systems, standards,  inspection cycles and maintenance practices
Knowledge of traction powers system advantageous
Specific knowledge of reading electrical schematics
Ability to fault find electrical circuits
Valid EB Driver’s License

Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 1 x Senior Technician Driver.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure safe, reliable and available trains as per customer requirements, primarily through leading all train movements within the Depot.
This role will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg. 


YOUR ROLE:


Take responsibility of compliance to safety, quality assurance and improvements during and for the train movement of way (MOW) / road rail vehicles (RRVs) activities
Lead all Train Driving activities and responsibilities
Participate in Train Rescue & Re-railing

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


Certified Train Driver (Train Driver Diploma) with Grade 12.  Technical qualification advantageous
Railway experience as a driver is a must. Minimum 10 years’ experience as a train driver

Job Purpose
This is a mega project, subdivided into Work packages (Departments), each with its own unique Scope. The purpose is to:

Ensure accuracy of actual costs recorded and guarantee the analysis of the Estimate To Complete of a given Work Package’s (Departmental) scope.
To ensure that Work Package Quality/Cost/Delay commitment is properly backed-up/documented and monitored on a monthly... basis.
Supports the Work Package Owner (Department Head) in the controlling/financial management of his/ her Work Package and help in identifying risks in advance.

Key Responsibilities
You will be required:

Calculate the Work Package (department) costs since inception.
Prepare and review Work Package Report: Actuals & cost at completion, ensure individual risks are properly assessed and mitigation plans in place.
Forecast Work Package (Department) costs to complete.
Prepare variance analysis of high quality.
Ensure Reporting is accurate and on time.
Support the Work Package Owner in the monthly and bi-annual Work Package Reviews with the project/Platform.
Build Constructive relationship with Work Package owners (departmental heads).
Review and analyse Work Package working capital (inventories in particular).
Provide all Work Package finance reporting (Work Package Reporting in particular).
Be the interface with the Project Controller for all Work Package financial issues.
Respect GIBELA rules & processes.
Ensure accuracy and quality of Costs data.

The Industrial Quality Engineer position is to ensure the compliance of products and parts delivered by the Gibela facilities.
Responsible to create procedures & processes that ensure quality compliance in services, products, and parts to the customer.
Perform inspections, checks, tests, audits, training and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products... ready for delivery and on products during the operations process. Recording associated results, KPI’s and NCR’s.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain Industrial Quality scope processes in all Gibela Service Sites.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
Create and update Quality related procedures, protocol, and checklists.
Continuously collaborate with Industrial teams on all quality control and operational risks topics.
Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective actions.
Ensure accurate documentation of NCR/QRQC/8D/Findings and support teams to launch the expected reaction (QRQC/8D).
Escalate the anomalies detected on Operations activities & ensure their effective treatment (QRQC/NCR tool).
At first activity application, perform inspections and audit on processes of subassemblies or finished products at workstation according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements and documentation. Job Purpose

It is to provide technical support to the customer during commercial service, during preventive and corrective maintenance before and after warranty.

Key Responsibilities

Support/Interface with Engineering Department for the analysis of all data coming from the field for the purposes of resolution of technical problem on the on trains.
Report on all the anomalies found in... commercial service.
Interface with the customer and the technical fleet management to deal with all emergencies possible arising during the commercial service.
Support the customer in corrective and preventive maintenance by:
Coaching and training the customer on executing maintenance tasks, following procedures delivered by Gibela Engineering team upon request.
Respond to all requests addressed by the customer – by call or directly at technical support desk.
Train preparation, all levels of diagnostic on trains/CFM or use of on-board computerized equipment/working manuals, troubleshooting guide and train system knowledge.
Troubleshoot and repair the GIBELA Rolling Stock, in line with specified Quality procedures. This will require manual work and sometimes working on powered up trains in a safe and controlled manner.
Carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies.
Carry out train preparation, all levels of diagnostic and work arising involving the use of onboard computerized equipment/working manuals, troubleshooting guides and train system knowledge.
Undertake other duties as specified by the Team Leader and Depot Manager.
Adhere to Company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety.
Train new members of the team.
Support the Reliability team and the Field Engineer to understand the root cause of complex failures.

Job Purpose

Industrialise the maintenance & repairability of products for depots & repair centres, taking into account existing standards & project constraints.
Supervise Life Cycle Cost for preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and repairs activities.
Lead industrialization of Providor, Make or Buy, Service Exchange, business cases, Obsolescence, ERP and database (ILS-PDM) in line... with engineering breakdown structure and production activity to ensure life cycle cost improvements year by year.
Obtain (FROM OEM) and update the industrial documentation necessary for all production & maintenance.

Implement the project Make or Buy strategy in all deliverables WITH OEM AND LCC TOOL
Create all tasks in LCC TOOL in line with Make or Buy strategy
Collect LCC from suppliers in line with L4 repair and overhaul activity
Manage LCC IT tool in line with repair activity
Receive latest Providor and prepare the necessary deliverables
Compile Part Breakdown Structure.
Contribute to business Make or Buy profitable strategies by developing sound business cases
Calculate Service Exchange and share with key stakeholders
Calculate budget inputs for preventative and corrective maintenance volumes.
Generate regular meaningful report on LCC calculation
