About

I am an experienced civil engineer from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. My previous role at International Rescue Committee (IRC) - Kenya Program as a water and sanitation volunteer involved conducting water needs assessment baseline surveys in both host and refugee communities so as to recommend practical solutions for the incessant water stress experienced in Garissa County. I also assist in developing tender documents including bills of quantities that guide the costing of projects. I am also involved in the supervision of infrastructure development and Renovation projects in IRC Hagadera Refugee Camp. I have gained substantial knowledge and experience in the design of structural elements using Prokon, Structural Tedds and Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis software followed by detailing of the designed elements using AutoCAD. I have also designed water distribution networks for 2 Camp schools using WATERGEMS.
