  • I had the opportunity to undertake my attachment at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kisumu central police where I performed the following duties;
  • 1. Taking fingerprints of accused and suspected persons and recording on the P20 and P20A forms.
  • 2. Recording statements of accused persons and complainants.
  • 3. Filling the Descriptive form(C8) for accused or suspected persons.
  • 4.Taking accused persons to court for hearing and mentions of their cases.
  • 5. Visiting crime scenes and performing dusting to obtain fingerprints of potential suspects of the crime.
  • 6. Participating and conducting identification parade to single out suspects of a crime.
  • 7. Conducting Investigations of reported crimes and identifying potential suspects.
