ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

For appointment to this position, a candidate MUST have:


Master’s Degree in Public Administration or Business Administration or Human Resources Management or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution;
Must be registered and in good standing with the Institute of Human Resource; Management Kenya (IHRM) and a Certified Human Resource Practitioner CHRP (K);
Attendance of a senior management or other professional course lasting for more than four weeks will be an added advantage Computer literacy;
Demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, coordination and organization at the senior management level; and
Exemplary work performance


EXPERIENCE:


The candidate MUST have had at least six (6) years’ experience in administration, three (3) years of which MUST have served as a Senior Assistant Registrar.

Inputting grades into an online grade management system;

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT:

An earned Doctorate degree (PhD) or equivalent degree in the specified specialization or related field from an accredited and recognized university; and be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable);
b. A Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university (in special cases) with at least three (3) years teaching experience at the university level or in a research institute or in industry; and
At least three (3) years of teaching and research experience at the university level as a Lecturer or six (6) years Research/industry experience;
A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty-four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
Supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;
Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable);
Ability to utilize Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL) systems;
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of the Kenya 2010.
