  • I was really happy when I got the job. But later I found out they were choosing between me and my boss’s niece. Since then, my boss has been very cold and mean to me. She clearly doesn’t like me and...

    Hello Team,
I casually applied for a role in a Company that stated clearly it is not recruiting anytime soon. However, less than 24 hr I got a... response from their HR showing interest to proceed with my application highlighting that I would have to go throug 3 stages the first, which will be an initial call with the hiring manager. I responded with a date but they later opted for a virtual call instead. Meanwhile, a call which was supposed to prepare candidate's mind regarding the job description and expectations, turned out to be a more or less full fledged interview and wihtout sounding immodest, I knew did excellently well. Questions like how soon can you report for work if I'm eventually selected, how much is my salary expectations? were being asked and the HR said I will be contacted. However, this a job I later learnt, was once advertised on LinkedIn and over a 100 people applied. Now, my question is ,what can one make out of all this? It's an International Company. more

  • good afternoon house, i am a civil servant what can i do to be as a second source of income that will not interupt my work

    Hello Salisu,
The sincerity oa any business lies in the sincerity of the owner and the legitimacy of the business in the eyes of the law. There are... several legitimate businesses out there however, it is common to find their owners not been sincere. Therefore, first thing first, to enjoy venturing into any business and growing it with passion, endavour to venture into something you are passionate about or your immediate community lacked and you'd loved to help solve for them. There's no new business anywhere. What most successful entrepreneurs do, is to innovate or tweaked an existing business idea, products or services either by way of rebranding the packaging/delivery/after sales service, increasing quality, change or diversify segment (eg, premium v basic buyers), improved customer relationships among others.

Depending on your location, social motivation and strength of capital, i can help you with a feasibility study design that can help you identify the right business that can suit your lifestyle and energy.

    Thank you and best regards.

  • good afternoon house, i am a civil servant what can i do to be as a second source of income that will not interupt my work

Hello Yahaya, as a Civil servant, you can take a loan either from your Office Staff Cooperative Society or through group monthly contributions(Adashe)... to raise some capital to farm some fast mobing cash crops eg, Beans, Rice, Maize etc, Vegetables, Pepper, or raring of red Goats at your backyard. You can also think about visiting Village Markets on weekends to buy and sell Grains.

#Most importantly, once you decided on what to do, first, be patient and ensure you get someone who's into the business either around you or online to guide you if possible, do some short internship under such a successful entrepreneur before you start your own. Second to acquiring training on the rudiments of any business, in the heart of it is sheer determination and self discipline in these key aspects: Finance, integrity in business relationship, relentlessness in pursuit and increase in seeking continuous knowledge in your chosen area of business.

Wishing you success all the way.

    Thank you.
