  • Capacity building- Develop and implement a capacity-building and systems-strengthening plan for HTS, GBV and PrEP ensuring continuity of care, patient retention, and adherence support, in close collaboration with key partners, Ensuring quality Services delivery at all level of HIV Cascade, Support facility staff to ensure treatment literacy is provided to enrolled clients, Institutionalize continuous quality improvement systems for HTS, HIV prevention, continuity of care, patient retention, and adherence support, I also provide onsite mentorship to adherence nursing staff, community health workers/volunteers and counselors with the goal of performance improvement in the overall patient care, Support facility staff to ensure treatment literacy is provided to enrolled clients, Support staff through onsite mentorship and operations discussions
  • Capacity building materials. Develop and Adapt systems and tools to support the implementation of differentiated care models for different population groups and provide a framework for improving retention and successful treatment outcomes across population groups and facilities. I also assist in developing HIV prevention and care components, processes and SOPs for adherence, health facility and community interventions.
  • Research: Support program team members in coming up with objectives to be used in answering questions to inform the program activities and Being a key player in the process of systematic inquiry of the program activities including coming up with data tools, collection of data, documentation of critical information and analysis and interpretation of that data/information, following suitable methods as per the program protocols and processes.
  • Result-based management Utilize site data to inform the quality of care performance at the site and show staff how to make use of such information to improve operations, Measure changes in quality services within the organization, Examine facility operations and systems and recommend ways to improve outputs and outcome by use of innovative training methodologies adapt curricula to support the training of healthcare workers. Support the development and implementation of different curricula in different settings, Assess training and evaluate the impact of training activities and share recommendations
  • Implementing Partners and stakeholder engagement. Participates in various program-based technical working groups, making presentations for the program, and identifying strategies that help the program to improve and strengthen partnerships with other implementing partners and organizations. I also Work closely with the Ministry of Health, County and sub-county health management teams, health facility and the community to realize and showcase examples of successful, mentorship in the county.
  • Performance management- Review performance with the providers together with other team members to help in setting goals, planning and capacity building on gaps identified within the review period.
  • Leadership-Examine HTS operations, patient linkages/referral systems, retention strategies, and adherence support mechanisms and lead the development of strategies to address findings, Lead the implementation of training and continuous professional development systems for HTS counsellors, for health professionals and lay health workers (CHWs, peer educators, etc.) involved in continuity of care and adherence support, and CHMT members
  • Monitoring and evaluation-Daily, weekly, monthly and Quarterly monitoring of regional performance, individual providers performance in line with organization goals to help in coming up with strategies to improve performance, Evaluate outcomes of capacity-building activities and shares recommendations, Evaluate and adapt Community Strategy implementation for the context of Machakos County
