Have you ever noticed that when, during a job interview, they tell you several times: “We’re like one big family here”- it usually means the company is actually a snake pit, everyone hates each other, backstabs and is constantly fighting?
Is it just me who’s that lucky?

    What they mean when they say that is, "We want you to be willing to drop everything whenever we need you, just like your family." These companies have... no concept of work/life balance.  more

  • This is a big red flag. You should reply that you would prefer a strong culture of mutual respect. You have a family already.

  • It literally means you should not think outside the box. You just have to fit in and move along. No new ideas or innovations. You respect the status... quo and uphold it. more
