ROLE PURPOSE: 

This position will be responsible for implementing and/or coordinating all financial support functions for LABDI Head office.  In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Assist in ensuring that direct reports have clear... roles and responsibilities, and a strong understanding of all of Donor’s and LABDI regulations and policies, especially the core policies such as; Child Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct, Fraud & dishonesty policies, Anti-bribery and corruption policy and whistle blowing policy.
Manage the electronic spreadsheet/format for receiving and disbursing funds; coordinate the preparation and timely submission of monthly financial reports and other reports to head office as required. Ensure accurate keeping of account books (electronic and paper) for the head office.
Help ensure that timely and accurate information is generated and disseminated accordingly to the project team, to inform activity planning and forecasts.
Process all banking activities in the LABDI state head office, ensuring that bank account records are accurately maintained, and that bank statements are obtained on a timely basis.
Process all payments (Bank transfer or cheque) to vendors, service providers, and partners in line with LABDI policies & all active awards requirements in the field office.  Ensure all financial transactions in the LABDI office are appropriately approved, authorised and administered, in line with LABDI & Donor policies.
Maintain the office safe and disburse cash payments. Ensure weekly cash counts are done and properly documented.  
Support the state teams to provide administrative and technical support to the partners to ensure that all financial documentation and reports are prepared and submitted on a timely basis in line with LABDI policies, project agreements and donor guidelines.
In collaboration with the line manager support the training in financial management in accordance with LABDI financial management policies
Monthly report for review to finance manager

The Education Officer will provide operational and technical support to the Borno project team under the leadership of the Consortium manager to implement all Education activities for the project. The job holder will also be working closely with LABDI Education Team Lead, Advocacy, Communication, Campaigns and Media, Operations Teams and other stakeholders at the community, LGA and State... level.

Under the guidance of the Education Department Team Lead, he/she will ensure that the Monguno and Bama project adheres to safe programming and is implemented in a coordinated, harmonized and aligned manner.

Implement the project activities like back-to-school campaigns, enrolment drives, door to door campaigns, community mobilization to bring out of school children and retain at risk of dropped out children across the Monguno and Bama LGA Of Borno States, Nigeria in line with the design of the project.
Support the Consortium manager to establish, maintain, and strengthen linkages in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. 
Conduct and contribute to needs assessment, baseline and endline assessment in the respective project locations Of Monguno and Bama LGA OF Borno State
Ensure accurate project documentation, including collection of monitoring data and tracking of progress on output indicators; utilize data to contribute to reports as requested by management.
Supervise and manage the teachers, including facilitation of teacher training.

Support enrolment campaign activities and coordination with the different stakeholders.

Vehicle Checks:


Check the vehicle prior to its use in the morning and after use
Check the vehicle before departing from work. 
Check, on taking over a vehicle, that the items listed on the Vehicle Check List and the items listed in the Vehicle Tools and Materials Inventory are present and in full functioning order.


Vehicle Defects: 


A driver is to check for vehicle defects and damage to the vehicle and ensure that he reports them to his line manager. After consulting a mechanic, the line manager will make the decision as to whether the vehicle should be taken off the road for repair. 
Report and supervise all maintenance and repair needs of assign vehicle.


Cleanliness & Visibility: 


The driver is responsible for ensuring that his vehicle is kept clean on the outside and inside at all times. The driver is also to keep the vehicle tidy and ensure that all rubbish is removed from the vehicle after a journey.
The driver is to ensure visibility protocols are adhered to at all times
Emergency Preparedness and Response.
In case of emergency prepare to contribute to delivery of an appropriate and timely response.

Reporting to GBV Supervisor, The GBV Officer will be responsible for implementing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response activities within LABDI programs in Borno State.
This role involves providing direct support to survivors of GBV, facilitating prevention activities, and coordinating with... other stakeholders to enhance the protection and well-being of affected populations.
The GBV Officer will work closely with local communities, healthcare providers, and other partners to strengthen GBV response mechanisms and promote gender equality.
The activities will be well integrated into North-East Nigerian protection system and humanitarian coordination practices and guidelines. The activities will be carried out in Borno State (Monguno Lga and Bama) areas according to the evolving needs of the project.


Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation:


Implement GBV prevention and response activities in line with LABDI strategic objectives and international standards.
Conduct community outreach and awareness-raising activities to prevent GBV and promote gender equality.

The MHPSS Officer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) activities within the organization’s programs.
This role involves providing direct support to affected populations, developing MHPSS programs, and ensuring the integration of MHPSS into other sectoral activities.
The MHPSS... Officer will work closely with local communities, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to enhance the mental health and psychosocial well-being of individuals and communities, with a specific focus on supporting survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
The activities will be well-integrated into North-eastern Nigerian protection system and humanitarian coordination practices and guidelines. The activities will be carried out in Borno State areas according to the evolving needs of the project especially in Monguno and Bama LGA of Borno State.


Key Responsibilities

Psychosocial Support:


Conduct specific child-focused activities for psychosocial well-being and building resilience for the most vulnerable and at-risk children and adolescents by ensuring a variety of activities that include active games, sports, expressive/creative activities, life skills, educational activities.
Mobilize adolescent boys and girls to launch empowering activities that suit their interest, promote their psychosocial well-being and create an opportunity for their direct social engagement at community level.
Conduct emotional group support sessions for caregivers.
Work with the Community liaison Officer to conduct awareness sessions on child protection issues and issues affecting the protection and well-being of children.
Provide basic counselling sessions to support children and their caregivers to better cope with difficulties, distress and enhance their resilience.
Identify vulnerable children and adults in a need of protection or support and conduct referral to the case management team and/or education team as appropriate.
Establish and maintain positive and efficient relations with target beneficiaries, community members, humanitarian actors and all the other key stakeholders for the successful delivery of PSS interventions.
Ensure availability of the PSS materials and safe storage and maintenance of the PSS materials.
Prepare weekly activity schedule, keep record of newly registered beneficiaries, fill beneficiary’s daily’s attendance lists, and other reports as required by the line manager and ensure accuracy and timely submission.
Under the guidance of the Child Protection manager Supervisor, conduct participatory monitoring activities to collect beneficiaries feedback and opinions on the quality and satisfaction of activities.
Provide supervision, mentorship and guidance to PSS volunteers.
Perform any other job-related duties as requested by the line manager.


Child Protection:


Promote inclusion and equal access for every child, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable and at-risk children.
Identify potential cases of children victims and/or at heightened risk of violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect and any other child protection concern or threat and report to the Case Worker.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding information and data of beneficiaries at all times.
Ensure LABDI Child Safeguarding Policy and Child Protection Minimum Standards are mainstreamed through all the programmatic activities.
Report serious cases of abuse committed against children to the Consortium manager and/or LABDI CFRM. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
Provide specialized psychosocial support to survivors of SGBV, including trauma-informed care and counselling.
Facilitate access to additional services for SGBV survivors, such as medical care, legal assistance, and safe shelter.
Develop and implement safe and confidential referral pathways for GBV survivors to access comprehensive care.
Conduct awareness-raising sessions on SGBV and available support services within the community.


Coordination & Representation:


Coordinates with other LABDI sectors to ensure implementation of standardized activities and with other departments (programme and support) of LABDI Nigeria as necessary

The MEAL Officer will ensure that MEAL approaches, methods, and tools are relevant and consistent across LABDI programmes and partner organizations. Helps plan and implement activities requiring specific MEAL expertise. The MEAL Officer will also play an important role in improving information management and data quality, and in strengthening knowledge sharing.
He/she will ensure that data trends and analyses can be extracted from the information entered into the system.  Will also ensure data is gathered to report in monthly 5Ws, shared with the appropriate sector that ensures high-quality information management of target beneficiaries in the project.

General


Support the MEAL manager in developing and implementing MEAL plans that are consistent with the organisation’s orientations for projects.
Support the MEAL Manager in implementing an appropriate and effective M&E system where possible, brings together project and programme partners during the monitoring plan design phase and during the sharing and using of data.
