The position


As the Novo Nordisk Local CMO QA areas specialist on-site at our CMO in Port Elisabeth, you will report to the QA management based in Denmark and have a close collaboration with our local affiliate based in South Affrica.
You will ensure daily QA oversight and other Novo Nordisk (NN) QA activities and be working in collaboration with team colleagues in Denmark and in India to... ensure that Novo Nordisk insulin products produced in South Affrica to local and global markets are in compliance with requirements in Novo Nordisk specifications, quality agreement, local requirements and EU GMP. Review and status assignment of batch documents for manufactured products and release for marketing
Handle deviations, change requests, etc, occurring during local manufacturing 
Quality Assurance Oversight; Daily QA oversight at the local facility including frequent shop floor presence. Oversight of batch related activities such as batch release, participate in on-site full batch review, parallel batch review activities, process activities and Product Quality Review. 
Quality Assurance presence at the CMO facility, warehouse, manufacturing, and packaging lines. Perform periodic checks and spot checks in topics such as equipment calibration status, data integrity, qualification and validations status as well as aseptic behaviour.
Support manufacturing projects when expanding and improving production capacity and quality. Preparation of project related documents. Quality assurance (QA) presence during project activities.


Qualifications


You hold a University Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Pharmacy, engineer or other relevant technical/scientific academic education complemented with a continuous further education within the relevant professional subjects, quality assurance, GMP and within the resource area.
You have at least 8 years of experience within aseptic manufacturing and preferably experience from quality assurance. You have a thorough knowledge of EU GMP and some international experience.
You have extensive qualifications within deviation/investigation handling and change request handling within aseptic manufacturing.

Be the daily responsible for monitoring of WDF-funded project partnerships and programmes in 2-3 additional countries in the East and Southern African region. The monitoring will follow WDF’s standard operating procedures and include annual field visits to the countries.
Prepare reports, advocacy, communication, and other formats of content, related to WDF-funded partnerships in the countries of responsibility, and pursue opportunities for profiling of WDF. The incumbent will be engaged with organising stakeholder visits from WDF and from WDF’s donors.

Qualifications

Master’s degree within a field of relevance (e.g., public health/international health, political science/social science, development studies or related).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in development projects within pharmaceutical industry or healthcare.
The preferred candidate is Kenyan national.
Track record of employment with e.g., national health authorities or public health institutions, NGO’s working in Kenya, or international development agencies.
A strong network within the public health space in Kenya is an asset.
Full professional proficiency in English and high-level proficiency in Kiswahili.

As a Medical Advisor you will be responsible for providing proactive medical support to new business opportunities and strategic objectives for the affiliate.
Your Main accountabilities will be:

Reviewing of medical educational and promotional material for scientific accuracy, currency and relevance, providing training to employees and Health Care Professionals, providing medical... guidance to the Sales, Marketing and Market access departments in terms of treatment guidelines and current clinical practice, providing support and guidance on pharmacovigilance matters and providing medical information to customers as required.
Providing training and educational activities for Health Care Practitioners.
You will further be responsible for managing the relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, as well as be the point of contact for all medical enquiries and scientific matters. Other primary medical responsibilities include publication planning and implementation.
You will demonstrate good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders for the successful implementation of your main responsibilities.

Qualifications

The candidate will have minimum of University Degree in Medicine - MD, be a qualified medical doctor who has completed their internship, community service and worked in a clinical environment.
3-5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
Must have English and French language in a fluent level.
Interest in Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Endocrine Disorders is desired.
The candidate must demonstrate computer skills (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and two years of experience as a Medical Advisor in the Pharmaceutical Industry will be considered an advantage.
A Master’s Degree in Public health or Health Economics will also be an advantage.

Sustainable local... impact creation, measurement and communication – making a difference to the haemophilia community worldwide. Including acquisition, internal processes, budget management and controlling, progress monitoring and reporting of local outcome and impact of programmes.
Leverage learnings within the NNHF team, amongst partners worldwide and with other international stakeholders through various initiatives and platforms.
Congress representation and preparation and hosting of programme related events.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have the following qualifications:

University education degree of MSc degree, preferably in public health, international relations, medicine, social Sciences, business administration, and/or economics.
You have international working experience in science, business, development work or management consulting with emphasis on healthcare; experience in corporate social responsibility, international non-profit work or policy development and advocacy is an advantage.
You should be able to have strong cross-functional relationship and trust-building skills and capable of being a good ambassador and an excellent project coordinator with systematic working style.
You are fluent in English; fluency in Swahili and/or another language is an advantage.
