Definitely don’t lie about your skills. However you may have the skills in some cases but don’t realize it. I would suggest to write down all you’ve... done job wise but also write down things you’ve learned and done outside of your job, things that are self taught, extra curricular activities etc., and all other things you’ve been responsible for even leadership wise. If you tell an employer that you don’t have a specific skill you can followup by high lighting similar skills to what they are asking for. For example if you lead a league in your town that is still a position of leadership still and you can use that same “skill with people” for leadership teams.
