Pamela's authenticity, brilliance, and unwavering commitment to her community were evident from the very beginning of our cohort experience, and they have only become more impressive as I’ve seen her work evolve.

Pamela is a stalwart of the Newark community—an individual whose name is synonymous with impact, care, and credibility. Her deep-rooted investment in the city is reflected not only in her words but in her actions. Through her current role as Director of Special Projects & Development at the Newark Community Street Team, Pamela plays a critical role in building safer, healthier communities. She leads key strategic initiatives that uplift the most vulnerable, mobilize local stakeholders, and champion real, measurable change in public safety and community empowerment.

Prior to stepping into this vital role, Pamela also served as Senior Strategy Consultant with The Brickerati Group, where for nearly 17 years she led high-level strategic growth and communications campaigns across Newark and beyond. Her work has helped organizations clarify their vision, deepen their relationships with audiences, and secure critical funding and media visibility. Her specialties—ranging from fundraising and speechwriting to multimedia storytelling and project management—make her a truly rare and versatile asset.

A clear example of her leadership in action came during our time in Leadership Newark, where she helped spearhead a civic engagement project focused on deepening participation in underrepresented communities. Her natural ability to bring together diverse voices, synthesize complex ideas, and deliver results was both inspiring and instructive. Pamela doesn’t just participate—she leads, she builds, and she delivers.

She balances all of this while being a dedicated mother, partner, and friend—roles she approaches with the same grace, generosity, and wisdom that make her so effective in her professional life. Her ability to lead with empathy while maintaining strategic focus is unmatched.
