Planning and timely implementation of activities, ensuring adherence to Donor policies and procedures in close coordination with the Protection Focal Point.
Support the identification and analysis of protection issues and trends.
Identify and respond appropriately to beneficiaries with protection needs including through referrals, food intervention, and emergency cash assistance. Refer beneficiaries to key service providers in accordance with FINDEF guidelines and SOPs.
Integrate psycho social support activities into all program intervention including establishing mechanisms for beneficiaries that prevent and mitigate the incidence of SGBV (establishing and facilitating groups, activities, awareness raising sessions)
Provide technical assistance, guidance and support to Management and staffs on Protection issues. Including capacity building on principles of psychological first aid and SGBV
Support in the integration of SGBV principles in livelihoods work, including building early warning systems for increased household violence and linking partners to service providers and referral networks
Monitor and document SGBV related trends and take appropriate action;
Provide update to management and Staffs regularly with trend analysis, best practice and research on protection principles and programming
Strengthen FINDEF protection referral services in Yobe State (Bursari and Tarmuwa LGA)
Represent FINDEF at coordination meetings such as the Protection, Child Protection and GBV subsector
Raise awareness of Community on CP/GBV prevention and response.
Promoting behavioral change of community regarding Child Protection, gender, gender equality and gender related issues.
Identify and respond to Protection-relted issues during food distributions
Mobilize community to form ‘action groups’ for awareness raising and encourage greater self-reliance among women in the communities.
Collaborate with community workers to ensure that women are engaged in psycho-social activities at the women’s centers in camps and host communities.
Contribute to and facilitate a program of results- based protection programming through a consultative process with sector and/or protection working group members.
Ensure that minimum standards of protection are consistently applied through community-based Protection methods.
Provide guidance on protection issues to persons of concern
Support in providing oversight of Protection projects in compliance with donor regulations while upholding project cycle management standards.
Contribute and support effective monitoring, evaluation and learning processes and initiatives, and ensure effective data and information management for Protection projects.
Develop monthly work plans focused on key outputs and outcomes in consultation with the Protection Manager and other Protection staff.
Integrate community approaches, gender sensitivity, capacity building and mainstream protection into all activities as appropriate.
Ensure the timely and quality delivery of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project reports to the Protection Focal point.
To consolidate and disseminate quarterly protection monitoring reports and ensures that all reporting is dis-aggregated by age and gender.

Maintaining relations pertaining to the protection programme with donors, partners, key stakeholders, and other relevant actors at field level.
Conduct community based training's that supported children protection, human rights and gender-based violence, provision of basic needs, health and nutrition, hygiene and sanitation and education for all levels of stakeholders which includes CBOs.
Promote the protection and care of children including adolescents, ensuring in particular that children with special needs are identified, registered, and timely action taken.
Sensitize the community on SGBV and empower the women groups to report and prevent its occurrence in the community
To train selected target group on SGBV
To set-up and support meeting for advisory groups
To train the members and volunteers on SGBV prevention and response
To train teachers, government, partners and security actors (refresher training) on SGBV prevention
To develop informative materials for Learning
To raise awareness about the problem of SGBV in community stakeholders
To establish groups of boys and girls, male and female in IDP settlements, host and formal schools to prevent SGBV
To set-up and manage integrated safe space for referral of SBGV cases
To distribute SGBV based material items (dignity kits)
