I am an N.C.E holder in Technical Education with over 2 years experience in development and humanitarian project design, program/ project management, data quality & strategic information management, advocacy and community mobilizing for action, I have expertise in child protection, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and presentation with strong organizational, analytics (MS Office Packages, NOMIS, DHIS 2.1, ODK, Kobo Collect, and PMIS) and creativity skills. I am an efficient communicator/self-starter with a high level of professional and personnel management; committed to community service and human development. I speak English and Hausa languages fluently.

  • Carries out daily Protection monitoring missions to ensure all/general protection concerns are identified and addressed appropriately at Camps and host Communities and also identify gender and other protection risks of beneficiaries during general food distribution, NFI distribution and also during BSFP to PLW;
  • Conducts Vulnerability screening/registration to new Arrivals and IDPs;
  • Ensures the organization and the implementation of all protection concerns and activities are in accordance with the agreed weekly Work plan and under the supervision of the Protection Coordinator;
  • Ensures the management of the Protection Action Group (PAG Members) team and also ensures mapping of services and Community structures;
  • Prepares a weekly work plan for day to day protection activities of the week and daily protection monitoring, key informant interview (KII), reports to Protection Coordinator
  • Identifies and addresses human right violation issues, protection risks, child protection cases and SGBV cases of IDPs, refugees and returnees at the camp and host communities
  • Refers medical, livelihood, child protection, shelter, WaSH, Psychosocial Support (PSS), MHPSS, and other related concerns of PoCs cases to appropriate service providers and follow up the cases for updates from the Agencies;
  • Ensures all protection activities including SGBV cases are individually documented, filed and up to date in ODK Collect and office files;
  • Engages with communities directly and create awareness on peaceful coexistence, SGBV, education, conflict management, human rights, child protection, Girl/child education and other protection-related concerns and topics;
  • Conducts Focused Group Discussion (FGD), sensitization and awareness raising campaign to IDPs, community members, partner staff and other local authorities on protection topics and carries out advocacy intervention and other activities at Camp or host Committee;
  • Conduct community meetings, PSWG meetings, FGDs and other direct community activities as part of protection monitoring;
  • Support protection coordinator in compiling weekly and monthly reports; Actively participate at Camp coordination meetings and community meetings;
  • Conducts and Participates in joint sensitization, assessments at targeted locations.
