About

A behaviourist, cognitivist, and constructivist striving to transform the world one child at a time. Students' unique talents inspire my teaching craft. My classroom management style is fair but firm within the realms of a school's philosophy on behaviour management. I unwaveringly value integrity and honesty as fundamental attributes of any successful learner: When needed, I blend direct instruction with student-centred learning, focusing on students' understanding of content and skills beyond the classroom objectives. Regarding assessments, I often deploy formative evaluations (which take multiple formats) before delivering end-of-unit summative assessments in the form of projects, experiments, essays and/or written tests. Other than traditional indicators of academic achievements such as tests, quizzes and grades, I believe in alternative ways of measuring success such as portfolios, presentations, relevant arts and culminating unit projects.
