Job Summary: Hashtag Gulu Initiative has thriving workstreams within its portfolio, with ample possibility for growth and impact. Project Coordinator is be an integral part of this growth, leading project implementation and deepening working relationships with the internal teams. Lead in project planning and management, stakeholder and community engagements, scheduling complex meetings and participating in the design of new projects. Report to the Executive Director, providing coordination and administrative support to workstreams. Leadership: Provide guidance, direction, and support to project staff and volunteers. Networking and Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders to foster collaboration, resource-sharing, and partnership opportunities. Track progress on projects, actively ensuring timely deliverables, whilst providing thorough support on the organization/logistics and execution of Hashtag Gulu Initiatives mandate in northern Uganda.

Education

A Master of Development Studies program can help students develop skills to work in development and policy, and to analyze the challenges and opportunities of developing countries. Some topics covered in these programs include: Development policy design, analysis, and implementation, Principles of development economics, Human resource management, Gender-based violence, International human rights law, Social entrepreneurship.

Work experience

Programme Associate provided support across its delivery of multiple donor funded programmes. These are focused on strengthening the capacity of justice service providers across Uganda to improve their response to instances of Violence Against Women (VAW), Violence Against Children (VAC) and Harmful Practices (HP).

Work experience

The Project is aimed at improving the utilization of gender-responsive protection and SGBV response services among refugees and host community members; developing economic self-reliance among refugees and host community members and improving hygiene and sanitation practices among refugee and host community members, particularly young women (ages 12-18).

Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management at Gulu University, Uganda

This module provides you with an introduction to project planning and programming. This will enable you to acquire skills necessary for the planning of projects across a wide spectrum of professional disciplines. These skills are important to participants who are engaged in project planning and management at several levels especially Team Leaders, Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Project Directors and other stakeholders.
