I have over 8 years of unbroken service on the front lines of some of the world's most dangerous and demanding humanitarian crises from the insurgency zones of Northeastern Nigeria. I have led high-impact projects across over 150 communities. These multi-sectoral responses have reached over a thousand vulnerable individuals. In Northeast Nigeria, I coordinated emergency WASH outbreak responses in hard-to-reach LGAs like Bama, Banki, and Mobbar, and led five WASH partners in delivering cholera, AWD, and COVID-19 response interventions to over 120,000 IDPs living in the largest displacement camp in the country and the hardest-to-reach LGA

  • Design the content and methodology of the community hygiene and sanitation mobilization campaign as required by the project.
  • Prepare a detailed implementation, monitor, and follow up on the timely implementation activities.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze baseline data. Facilitate the KAP/KPC survey and present the results.
  • Supervise rehabilitation of Sanitation facilities in affected camps and communities.
  • Supervised and advised for maintenance of boreholes and hand pumps in community and camps.
  • Monitor and follow up to ensure proper dissemination of hygiene and sanitation messages to the targeted beneficiaries.

  • Conduct needs assessments and technical surveys on new and existing water and sanitation facilities.
  • Supervise the construction and rehabilitation of sanitation and water facilities to ensure quality is not compromised and that sanitation facilities are accessible to persons with special needs (PWSN) by making them user-friendly.
  • Conduct community sensitization, awareness, and mobilization to encourage beneficiary commitment to proper Hygiene practices.
  • Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) for the proposed construction of sanitation facility and Borehole.
  • Conduct daily FRC monitoring of the water facility and keep daily FRC readings.
  • Conduct recruitment and refresher training sessions for WMTs (Water Management Teams), water point attendants, and Hygiene promoters.
  • Get a water sample for testing to verify Water Quality best for consumption.
  • Represent IOM in FGDs/community engagement meetings with community leaders and partners.
  • Chlorination of water sources at 0.5 and also check flow meter reading.
