About

MOTIVATION STATEMENT I am motivated to join the Water Resources Authority as a Water Resources Assistant III (Enforcement and Compliance) because this role directly aligns with both my technical qualifications and my deepest professional conviction: that sustainable and equitable water resource management requires rigorous, evidence-based regulatory enforcement. My six years working within Kenya's water sector across GATAWASCO, Gatundu Water, Muranga South Water, and WSTF have given me an intimate, field-level understanding of the challenges facing water resources regulation: unauthorised abstractions, unlicensed service providers, weak compliance by small-scale providers, and the gap between approved allocations and actual use. I have documented non-compliance, maintained structured records, conducted field inspections, and produced regulatory reports throughout my career. The WRA role formalises and elevates this work to a statutory enforcement mandate and I am ready to serve in that capacity with diligence, impartiality, and commitment to the Water Act 2016.
