Dr. J.E.T Babatola JP, Ph.D, FNIM, FCIA, FCAI, FIMC, MAUA (UK), ACIPM, ACIS, HRPL, ANIE is a quinquagenarian born at Ibadan and hails from Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. He is a communicant and member of Anglican Communion (Church of Nigeria) at All Saint’s Anglican Church (Opopogbooro Archdeaconry), Ado-Ekiti. He attended Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti (Anglican Premier High School in Ekiti); Ondo State University, University of Ibadan and Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History, a Master of Science degree in Political Science (with specialization in Public Administration), and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in History and International Studies. He is a Chartered Administrator, Chartered Secretary, Chartered Manager, and Certified Management Consultant with over three decades of working experience in the public and private sectors. He started his career as a Research & Documentation Officer (NYSC) at Oyo State Council for Arts & Culture, Ibadan. He moved to Unique Business Services Ltd, Lagos as Corporate Service Manager. He later served as Treasury Officer & Assistant Manager (Debt Factoring) at Treasury & Finance Company Ltd, Lagos; Editor at Spectrum Books Ltd, Ibadan; Publishing Research Documentary Officer at Evans Brothers Nigeria Publishing Company Ltd, Ibadan; Personal Assistant to President of Word Communication Ministries (WOCOM), Ibadan; Personal Assistant to the National Overseer of New Covenant Church, Ibadan and Senior Administrative Officer at Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs (DNCR). He joined Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti in 2001 as an Administrative Officer I and rose to the rank of Deputy Registrar in 2015. He served in the following units: Council Affairs and General Administration Division; Sandwich Education Programme; Directorate of Part-Time Studies; Faculty of the Social Sciences; Establishment (Academic) Division; General Administration Division; Examinations and Records Division; Faculty of Science; College of Medicine; Faculty of Agricultural Science and Faculty of Engineering. He was a Master of Ceremonies, Event Facilitator and University Orator at different times in the University. In management capacities, he served as a Commissioner of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, a Member of the Visitation Panel and University Governing Council at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti and a member of the Ekiti State Transition Committee (2022). He became the Registrar of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, Ondo in 2017 and the Registrar and Secretary to the Council of Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe, Bayelsa State in 2018. He joined Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo as the Registrar and Secretary to Council on 1st June 2021. He is a licensed/certified member of several professional bodies and learned societies such as Fellow, Chartered Institute of Administration; Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants; Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria; Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered); Member, Association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators; Member (International), Association of University Administrators (UK); Full Member, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management; Associate, Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators and Associate, African Network for the Internationalization of Education. He is happily married to an educator cum administrator – Mrs. M.J. Babatola with grown-up and responsible children.
