  • As part of professional development in leadership and management, I acted as Adolescent Advisor for four months awaiting recruitment of a substantive Adolescent Advisor. The acting role involved overseeing and management of adolescent-focused work of the program across five eastern districts of Karamoja sub-region (Kaabong, Kotido, Moroto, Karenga and Amudat) as the primary driver of the adolescent safe spaces model under the USAID’s Food and Nutrition Activity (FNA). I led a team of four technical Coordinators, overseeing development of Adolescent development specific Detailed Implementation Plan, budget monitoring, coordination with consortium partners, supervising consultants, and coordinating donor reporting.

  •  Coordinated the implementation of Save the Children’s adolescent health and development component of Apolou project in Moroto district (with support to other districts) in Karamoja, funded by USAID.
  •  Collaborated with MoH, Mercy Corps and local and international consultants to develop adolescent safe spaces integrated curriculum focused on life skills, SRH, FP, gender, nutrition, WASH and basic literacy and numeracy.
  •  Supported the adaptation of community-based user-friendly monitoring tools for adolescents’ safe spaces mentorship and community health interventions, considering local appropriateness for over 22,400 adolescents.

  •  While overseeing a team of 28 personnel in 2 districts of Kotido and Napak, I was fully responsible for the Health and Nutrition component under the Early Childhood Care & Development for Children in Pastoral Communities (EPASC) project, Karamoja region, Uganda.
  •  As an achievement,
  • All the ECCD centers were able to establish center gardens to cultivate food for the children/learners, including sorghum and maize. That helped to ensure regular school attendance of the children,
