Amber Brown

"I had the privilege of working alongside Amber Brown as her assistant director and mentee during Angry, Raucous, and Shamelessly Gorgeous, and the experience was transformative. Amber is a brilliant director and intimacy professional whose artistry has elevated productions such as Waitress, Dreamgirls, Love/Sick, and more at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. Her work is recognized nationally, including an Excellence in Choreography Award for her intimacy choreography in Venus in Fur.

Amber’s impact extends beyond the stage. As an educator, she has taught at the collegiate level, in youth theatre programs, and in non-traditional spaces like prisons—always leading with empathy, rigor, and a commitment to empowering others. She generously poured her knowledge and resources into my own development, strengthening my skills and confidence as a director.

Amber is a rare talent: an accomplished artist, a dedicated educator, and a mentor who uplifts everyone she works with. Any theatre or educational institution would be fortunate to collaborate with her."
