  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of permanent way assets, for safe operations of trains (tracks, bridges, culverts, drainages systems, line and corridor, vehicles, vehicle motor trolley, heavy equipment and specialized track maintenance machine, including stations ,workshops/depots, offices, power substations, accesses, auxiliary facilities as well as secondary rail development within the region).
  •  Supervision of Regional Permanent Way Inspectors, Permanent Way Inspectors, Patrolmen and Gangers
  •  Coordinating preparation of short, medium and long term railway works programs for secondary development.
  •  Providing training in railway safety audits, accident data analysis, design review and implementation of railway incidence counter-measures.

  •  Coordinating, supervision and provision of direction/guidance to technicians and others staff that report to the job.
  •  Overseeing preparation and implementation of procurement plans for secondary railway development works.
  •  Any other duties assigned by the Managing Director or General Manager-Infrastructure Development.
