Your Manager is VERY CORRECT!
Just because she earns more than you do doesn't mean you should give in as you're planning to do. If you ask me, I see... it as a challenge for you as the man of the House to step up your game, by finding out how you can catch up and probably surpass her! Sharing your financial responsibility with her in exchange for her domestic responsibilities is not a good idea, if you ask me.
I would strongly suggest you cut your livelihood to fit your present income. STOP SEEING HER INCOME AS PART OF THE FAMILY'S INCOME! It's HER MONEY, bro!
If she willingly give, let it be after you have presented what you can afford. Don't EVER leave any financial obligation for her to handle, handle all financial obligations ACCORDING to your current means while you strive harder to increase your means. I say this as a husband and a family man myself!
The sanity and longevity of your marriage depends HEAVILY on sticking to your role as the BREAD WINNER of the House. Yes, she may augment occasionally and whenever she does, tell her to write down with the aim of paying her back ASAP!

Why EXACTLY are you working so hard, is it to cater for the needs of your family or because you want to build a career??? If the Primary reason you're... working is to cater for your family, then, know that you can't take up jobs that has room for family life! That job offer is designed for single men and women not a family person like you!
As for your husband, he should get busy with the process of starting his own business. Let him find a problem that people would pay to solve. Let him find the best of solutions and start getting paid. Nobody's supposed to be UNEMPLOYED in today's Nigeria. There are way too many opportunities out there for anyone to claim that he's unemployed! more

It's a senior role, your job literally doesn't include lunch per say, you hardly enjoy even holidays. If anything goes wrong, it's on you SENIOR... OFFICERS!
In my opinion, it's not supposed to be normal, but it is here in Nigeria! You should start thinking of retirement and being a boss yourself! In the beginning of owning a business of your own, you'd realize exactly why he's asking you to meet over lunch! The difference, however, is that the moment you successfully setup the business to stand on its own, YOU BECOME TRULY FREE!
Until, then, get use to holding meetings over lunch! more
