Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on my thesis and I'm facing serious challenges with designing my questionnaires. Every time I try, I realize the structure or logic isn't accurate enough for the kind of analysis I need. I am currently on my 6th design and still feels worthless.
Earlier this year, I lost contact with the few people who used to guide me through these things. I know I should reach out to my supervisor, but I’ve been genuinely afraid to do so. Since I was assigned to him, I’ve found it difficult to communicate he feels very unapproachable to me, and that’s made me hesitant.
Now my thesis is pending, and I’m stuck with no clear path forward.

It’s understandable to feel stuck, questionnaire design is tough even with support. Trying six versions shows you’re committed, not failing. Even if... your supervisor feels unapproachable, reaching out is the next step. You don’t need a perfect draft; just explain that you’ve tried several designs and need guidance more

  • It sounds like you are under a lot of pressure, but your work is not worthless. Questionnaire design can take several iterations before it feels... right. At this point, reaching out to your supervisor may be necessary, even if it feels uncomfortable. Clear guidance will save you more time and frustration.

If you need help reviewing your structure or refining your questions, or any professional support, feel free to connect. And give a follow to stay connected.

  • What you are expressing is how you feel. In your current professional status you must deal with facts. The fact is you are afraid. You need Guidance,... You are at a mental block, need I go on. Go to who ever is leading you and expect them to lead. “ Hey John/Sally, I was wonder if you have some time today so I can pick your brains of a few issues I am dealing with?
How could a true leader say no to that? With any luck, you’ll get a nice lunch meeting (I did that with my people and it opened up our working environment!
Never fear the word “NO” when you need to ask questions. Better for them to give it than you give it to your self? Ciao

  • Several indefatigable attempts proves your interest. You will eventually make it, albeit you need to be cognizant of the mutual benefit that stream... from the output of research, both to you and your supervisor. Confidently approach your supervisor, they also need your thesis to advance in their careers. more
