I just blew up my life by resigning from a teaching gig before it began because I realized that I just don't have the bandwidth to teach and do all the other things they ask of teachers. I'm not sure of my next move, so I'm looking for remote work in the meantime. can anyone help with this transition?

You didn’t blow up your life, you pivoted to protect your peace. ☺️ I suggest searching chat GPT for platforms that post remote roles. Make sure that... your description is very specific and clear. Specify the type of remote role, highlight your area/s of expertise, full time/part-time, etc. chat GPT will help you revise your resume for the types of roles you’re looking for too. Best wishes to you on your next phase. Michele more

  • However; you need to deal with your bandwidth first for home based jobs.

  • I'm also a retired educator. Its easy to get back in the field, but I understand not wanting to. Once you leave, it's hard to find another career... change. It seems like a lot of organization see us as glorified babysitters, plus the competition is high. more

  • You didn’t blow up your life. You made a conscious decision not put yourself in a job for which you don’t think you are not suited. It takes care of... your personal ecology and gives the employer the opportunity to find someone better suited to the position. Kudos for “doing the right thing”. Consider tutoring or something like Kaplan if you want to stay in teaching in a less conventional setting. If necessary get a “pay the bills” easy to walk away from job, until you figure out what’s next. Someone told me once that every breakdown is an opportunity. Keep that in mind. more

  • Hi Everyone,
A couple of years ago I found myself in a similar situation which pushed my back against the wall. It was not an easy situation,... however it opened the door for me to face myself and go after what I really wanted in my life. I know that during these pivotal moments there may be a sense of fear and panic that may want to take over but always remember that your dreams are far more powerful then it. Just keep seeking, knocking and asking because you shall find, doors shall be opened and it shall be given unto you.

Here is a link to an opportunity. This Thursday(tomorrow) at 7pm. I hope this helps.

  • Seek-out other -opportunities! Volunteers are 501(c-3)'s Lifelines to survive. Many org's are always seeking / inviting volunteers.

Offer... help in the office (I personally know the MOUNTAINS of documentations that 501(c-3) use and need to survive / having and still repeating random volunteer activities on occasion.) Get your nose into the (org's) Admin's as well as those who do the (dirty) Work of their missions. / Always help with the intent to Learn - about the orgs. This will raise your name in the level of Participation-rankings when they will need your input.

If these orgs have no volunteer positions, this gives you an opportunity to INVENT or CREATE a position that you see they need.
