Hi guys,
I have been working deligently in a distribution office for over 6 years, my senior colleagues and supervisor got retired but the department head and the Hr worked together and recruited a new employee to be my supervisor who is a relative of the department head and never been in the system before but just fresh newbie in the work system.
But funny enough, I am the one training the new employee to be my supervisor and this weighs down my spirit in giving my best knowing that I have what it takes to be a supervisor. The department head knows that very well and that's the reason i was assigned to train the new employee.

what's your advice?

    Start looking for another opportunity while still on this job. Don't leave until you secure another. Good luck

    Who is the apex authority of your firm? If there one , then you can complai to him. If the exissting boss is yout top most aurhority then you can... not do anyrhing you have to only tolerate thisi injustice or quit thep resent placement and look for another one. more

    They are actually not fair to you , but do not worry God's time is the best . I wish you could train him . God will open another door for you .... After the training can he supervised you? What would he be supervising anyway , God is watching  more

    Mr. Macaulay-- It is true that you are caught in a tweezergrip of coflicting situation.It does happen with many employees.Analyse your situation.If... your boss happens to be the apex auority who is the decision maker you have no other option except trying to convince you boss that you deserve to be the superviser , if it does not work you have to compromise with the situation. But if there is a higher authority above your boss. make a thorough study of service rules and regulations governing emploees ' promotions and report to the apex authority through proper chhannel.  more
