Hi! I work in an all-women team and no one has a car. My husband picks me up every day and my coworkers often ask for a ride too. They got used to it and if I say no, they get upset. But I’m tired of driving everyone home. How can I stop this without arguments? Thanks

  • Start charging them. If they need to pay…they will not be so eager to ask for a ride. Gas is expensive, now! By the way, how do they get to work, in... the first place? more

  • You can start a team cash pool savings account to get another car that can be shared amongst the other team members so you can extricate yours from... being the sole one. Have each member contribute to the car fund every paycheck and within the selected amount of time those teammates can go get a car together. Gets you out of being the only one with a car and being leaned on for it. That way the responsibility is on them, and the account will reflect who has contributed what to avoid any money issues later on. Give them a designated time frame in which to save the money and let them know that as of that date their use of your car ends. Lay out boundaries and be firm with them and stick to that timeline. The details can be collaborated on and agreed upon with the entire team.  more
