I'm not in a position to comment on your employer or your career options as I am not familiar with it or the local labour market. So, you've been... contributing hours of volunteer services including donating you time and expertise training new employees over a five year period, and yet the company hasn't seen fit to bring you on board. It's time for a conversation with the manager. You could explain that while you had hoped to work for the company, now, after five years of volunteering, it's time for you to apply your skills in a paid position. Given your contribution, you might ask if the manager would a) suggest a few potential employers and/or b) be prepared to act as one of your references or refer you. I strongly suggest that you to get help with your resume. Your lack of proper English punctuation (sentence structure) may be sabotaging your applications.  more

  • May sound crazy but, did you apply? I mean actually submit an application. I dont believe HR can move you from volunteer to employee without... paperwork. The other companies are probably thinking if your present company has not offered you a job, after all these years, there must be something wrong. Go online and submit an application. If you've applied and still not offered a job get someone in leadership or a mentor to review your paperwork and provide feedback. Use the feedback to update your resume/application and resubmit. Or apply elsewhere.  more
