Hi! I'm currently getting a BS in computer science. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good internships, or entry-level part time jobs that are good for gaining experience in any area?

You need to know what you are passionate about first before knowing the firm you are applying to. Determine if you are into coding more or network... systems and then know which firm to intern at. All the best  more

  • Looking for a Cyber security entry job

  • My son just got hired by a dod contractor during the spring UMBC jobfair. UMBC has a better one than UMD, but overall both give lots of access to CS... entry level jobs at least 3x per year. Otherwise, try using LinkedIn and follow the companies you have interest in. Send an intro letter to their HR if they dont have posted jobs on their site. In CS, you have to ask for the jobs in this region. Unless you are in CO, CA or NC, you have to hunt for them. SAP has the strongest intership. General Dynamics and Booze Allen are both looking for entry level folks. Getting a security clearance will open the most doors for you. Try sending intro letters with a CV to those 3 first. The TS clearance takes only several weeks then you get assigned then you start the real clearance. NOrthrum Grummun has work while get degree interships at their facility in AACO, but you need to be at least at 3.8 gpa and clearable. more
