Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Intern to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry while contributing to the cleanliness and comfort of our guests' stay.


Clean and maintain assigned areas according to established standards and procedures
Ensure guest rooms and public spaces are properly stocked with necessary supplies
Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
Report any damages or malfunctions in rooms or hotel areas to the supervisor
Assist in laundry services as needed (e.g., delivering linens, handling laundry orders)
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge
Support other departments as required to enhance overall guest experience
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols


Qualifications


Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field
Basic knowledge of the hospitality industry
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift
Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and products
Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service
Basic computer skills for logging and reporting tasks
