A bespoke joinery and cabinetry manufacturer that produces high-quality woodwork is looking to hire a Sales and Marketing Associate whose responsibility for the day-to-day running of the showroom to ensure that it is visually merchandised to an excellent standard and to ensure that the highest levels of Customer Service are given at all times. To manage, motivate and develop the team to ensure that targets are exceeded.
What you will be doing:
Brand Image
Maintaining the Company image to the highest standards.
Ensuring the Showroom and all displays are neat and tidy at all times.
Responsibility for stock management and ordering.
Ensure window and showroom displays are installed in a timely manner to company standards, liaising as necessary with Marketing. Recommend potential advertising venues and marketing strategies to head office/management
Organize showroom maintenance and refits as needed.
Reassess stock biannually to minimize distribution costs/ensure customer orders are met as soon as possible.
Customer Service
To ensure that Company Customers are extended the highest levels of customer service at all times.
To deal promptly with Customer complaints, liaising with customer services in order to resolve queries.
To provide accurate advice on color and suitability.
Sales Targets
To produce a monthly report covering objectives set, results achieved and sales forecasts. To maximize sales opportunities with retail clients, the trade, designers and the local market.
To develop and extend the customer account base through local marketing initiatives.
Work with the Company Public Relation firm as required, actively developing business along three main channels (retail, designer and painter) by creating viable partnerships, sponsorships and showroom/brand exposure opportunities in the local community
To produce a monthly report covering objectives set, results achieved and sales performance, collating forward indicators. Accurately monitor, analyses and report sales patterns and trends.
Financial
Ensuring daily banking is reconciled and banked accurately if required.
Financial reporting to be sent to Head Manager, daily/ weekly/ monthly/ annual basis.
Human Resources
To manage, motivate and develop the assistant manager and all part time or full time staff.
To ensure attendance, individual and team performance is managed effectively with all members of the showroom team
Prepare monthly/weekly staff roasters and record all annual leave and absences.
Ensure adequate cover for holidays/ sickness.
Plan and monitor Employee Development and training to achieve maximum performance, productivity and job satisfaction.
Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring all occupational and health and safety guidelines are met, including lifting, safe storage
General
Develops a high-performance team by hiring, coaching, developing and managing performance of associates one-to-one meetings
Implements and maintains the Presentations Standards of the Showroom
Prepares, sets up, and signs new merchandise on the sales floor
Ensures execution and merchandising moves per the Monthly Action Plan
Develops and executes Local Marketing plans to drive sales at the local level
Make openings, closes, and secures the store
Staffs and schedules Supervisors, Leads, and Consultative Sales Associates
Plans, directs and supervises the work and productivity levels of associates to ensure standards are met or exceeded e.g. Receiving processes to yield appropriate merchandising and replenishment of the sales floor, customer facing positions to understand their role in interacting with the customer to meet or exceed his/her needs, etc.)
Recognizes associates for exceptional performance through the management of the entire sales floor and operations
Conducts observation, training and coaching of associates in selling process and skills (Customers for Life, Customer Care Selling Process, and Discovery Usage Guide).
Makes appropriate decisions on associate performance, up to and including termination of employment following various appropriate disciplinary processes, and coaches leads in the showroom to appropriately address performance concerns in their respective departments
Assesses associates' career potential through talent management processes; helps create opportunities for associates to enhance their existing skills to prepare for future roles; identifies, mentors and plans next steps for potential promotable associates; makes decisions on promotional moves for associates.
Uses communication to ensure associates are well-informed of upcoming store events and company initiatives, business and merchandising strategies and goals
Develops and implements sales, associate and other initiatives throughout the stores.
Plans and holds one-on-one meetings with associates to improve performance, set standards, and plan future development of those associates
Achieves personal sales and profit goals and helps the team in achieving the same
Demonstrates a high level of energetic response to customers and focuses team on the same
Reacts quickly to resolve customer issues
Sets plans and strategy to lead the stores to ensure achievement of business goals in sales and miscellaneous revenue
Fully optimizes (maintenance protection agreements, installation, gift cards, Home Service Leads, etc.) within the Showroom
Understands local market focus and tracks competition and trends in the market.
Educates associates on financial literacy and productivity measures to help each associate understand how he contributes to the store's overall sales performance
Conducts financial review, analyses, and long term planning and management of business and key drivers to impact sales and profit
Reports/presentations to Head Manager regarding business performance, identification of areas of opportunity, and plan and strategy to enhance performance and/or remedy issues
Sets plans and strategy to manage expense, understand and drive margin, maintain appropriate merchandise protection standards
Manages expenses to include appropriate spending, payroll allocation, etc
Unloads delivery trucks according to the defined procedures
Prepares and moves merchandise to the appropriate staging locations including the stockrooms.
Review systems on an ongoing basis to improve efficiency and service levels.
Key holder responsibilities, IE opening and closing the shop, covering in the case of absence, ability to be onsite in the event of an emergency.
Liaising with trade people as and when required. Co-operate with other F&B showrooms and stockists as needed
Serves the customer promptly for merchandise pickups
Performs the seal control verification on all load level receiving
Segregates all exception-based merchandise, where applicable
Properly uses material handling and safety equipment
Other duties and projects as assigned
What we are looking for:
Bachelors Degree or HND in Business, Marketing or similar
5-7 Years post qualification experience in Marketing and Sales role
Proven management experience in leading, motivating, developing a team
High end customer service and luxury retail experience
Ability to work in a high paced environment and to multitask
Exceptional communicator both written and verbal
Proven sales and customer satisfaction record
Familiarity with local market a plus
MS Office: Word and Excel, SAP
