Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be responsible for the following:

Maintenance of University grounds and garbage collection;
Designing and implementation of landscaping works;
Implementation of tree planting programmes;
Taking charge of solid waste management of a university campus in liaison with the Public Health Officer;
Maintenance and inventory of machinery and equipment;
Preparing work schedules;
Design and development of commercial tree nurseries, landscaping, Tree planting; and
Carry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

Have Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Horticulture or its equivalent from a recognized Institution;
Have served in the position of Grounds Supervisor Grade 5/6 for a period of at least three (3) years;
Have computer skills from a recognized institution; and
Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
