Job description summary
The role of sales manager essentially involves translating and explaining technical product information to customers and stakeholders, focusing on revealing how a product or piece of equipment can solve specific problems of the customer; the advantages and uses of the product in order to generate business conversion (sales). The product in this case are industrial energy conversion and production machines; heavy duty generators.
Remuneration:
Salary (basic) and commission (should be higher than salary) on business or sales made.
Responsibilities

Must be versatile in machinery of heavy duty capacity generators.
Must possess strong business network so as to be able to generate business sales immediately.
Present, promote and sell generator products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within given schedule.
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
Participates in new equipment installations and commissioning.
Make business presentations before clients, customers and other stakeholders
Should be able to carry out market surveys and develop business
Provide sale consultancy support (product and sector education and advice)
Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential markets and studies.
Possess Excellent Business Analysis and Communication Skill
Perform Business Forecasting and Management
Prepare and present market and situational reports to line manager and or management on regular basis.
Prepare tenders, proposals and product quotations
Able to negotiate contracts, interpret sales terms and conditions
Working with a variety of technicians and engineers
Other duties or responsibilities specified by the superior, resulting from the actual and specific requirements of the job.
Organize sales visits and liaise with new and existing clients
Develop pre sales and post-sales support for customers
Develop market penetration strategies
Develop after sales strategies
Continuously improve through feedback

Competencies and Job Specification

Proficiency in the use of computer programs such as , MS office, outlook, power point and social tools
Excellent writing, editing and oral communications skills in English. Spoken Chinese knowledge is an asset

Interested candidates should possess the following:

relevant work experience especially in the sale  heavy duty generators
A post graduate degree and other certifications will be added advantage
Must possess BSc/HND in Electrical  Engineering, Marketing, Business Development and Management or related fields
Minimum 10 years post NYSC with not less than 3 years’ work experience in a similar role working for a renowned heavy duty generator company in Nigeria.
Proven track record in aggressive business development and management in sale of generators
Candidate must be willing to relocate to company's work site.
