Job Summary


To support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences aligned with the British Curriculum, ensuring the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils in Key Stage 2.


Key Responsibilities


Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities under the direction of the class teacher.
Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with additional needs, both in and outside of the classroom.
Help manage classroom behavior in line with the school’s positive behavior policy.
Support with assessment and record-keeping, including observations and reporting on pupil progress.
Prepare learning materials and maintain a stimulating learning environment.
Supervise pupils during break, lunch, or other non-teaching times as required.
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture that reflects the values of Broad Oaks British School.
Participate in school events, professional development, and staff meetings.
Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare and safety of all children.


Person Specification


A degree in Education or its equivalent is required.
Prior experience supporting teaching in a British Curriculum or international school setting is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting pupils.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Passionate about working with children and committed to their development and well-being.
