Your responsibilities will include:
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with IFRS, and other regulatory guidelines • Oversee financial aspects of membership dues, renewals • Skill in managing and reporting on grants/projects funding and donor requirements. • Support policies and advocacy work with economic data or cost benefit analyses • Knowledge of membership - based business models and revenue structures • Advise on investment opportunities and provide strategic directions for the company's administration • Ensure that proper books of accounts are adequately kept on all transactions and financial activities of the organization • Maintain the financial health of the organization including cashflow forecast • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities • Manage the general administration of the organization • Ensure the preparation of regular reports from the various departments and regions and consolidate them for management consumption • Liaise with the external auditors to ensure timely preparation of financial statements and annual reports
Qualification Required & Experience
• BSc/BA/MBA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics and/or Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA etc • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
Skills Required
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager/Director • Experience in the financial sector with previous role in finance and administration • Extensive understanding of financial trends to within an organization and general company and general market patterns • Proficient user of finance software • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used • A good understanding financial statistics and accounting principles • Working knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations concerning finance • Proven experience in office Administration including managing people • Proficient in spreadsheets for modelling, dashboards and data analysis
