• Assist in the Supervision and management of the bank's credit department • Assist to provide leadership in the management of the company's Credit Administration • Assist in the preparation and submission of accurate... monthly and quarterly returns on credit to the appropriate regulatory authorities • Assist in the monitoring and recoveries of the bank's loan portfolio • Oversee the signing of the bank's securities and customers documents used as collateral for advances granted. • Help in appraising credits using standardized application and appraisal reports for approval • Responsible for the quality of the loan portfolio of the bank and communicate loan approval or denial to the client and facilitate the disbursement process • Contribute to the overall profitability of the company by implementing cost controls, marketing and income generation efforts, as directed by management and monitoring expenses to ensure compliance to budget • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for easy monitoring ensuring correct classification and provision for loans and advances • Help develop and market new products of the bank • Discuss loan terms with the clients • Work with customers to resolve all credit issues • Assist in monitoring loan payments and had debts • Any other duties/job that will be assigned by management
Qualification Required & Experience
• First Degree in Banking or Finance Accounting, Administration, Management in any related field • A second degree in finance, accounting or related field is desirable • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CICM, ACIB and ICAG is an advantage • Proven work experience in credit management • High level of understanding in risk and credit management • At least 3 years work experience in a banking credit management in rural & community banking in Ghana or related industry • Good knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential for successful • Excellent knowledge of a Banking software application preferably Globus T24
