Key Responsibilities


Support data collection including facilitation of Action Committees, Focus Group Discussions and Key Informant interviews.
Capturing accurate field notes and expanding notes daily in a timely manner and submission to the Research Manager for review
Adhere to all data collection protocols to ensure accuracy of data
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards, handling sensitive information with care.
Attend daily debrief meetings with the research team
Safely store and manage equipment (tape recorders)


Qualifications and Skills Required


Have a Diploma in Gender and Development Studies, Community Development, Sociology, Public Health, Nutrition, Epidemiology, Statistics or a related field. (Degree will be an added advantage)
Demonstrated prior experience in conducting qualitative data collection
Currently a resident of Kilifi County, preferably from Ganze, Kaloleni, or Magarini sub counties.
Familiar with the local communities, understanding and respecting local customs and norms.
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate fluently in Kiswahili and local language relevant to the study implementation sites
Attention to detail, ensuring accurate and consistent data recording
Ability to work longer hours and sometimes over the weekends if required.
Be able to adhere to Helen Keller Safeguarding policies
