The Materials Control Manager is responsible for ensuring optimal management of agricultural inputs, machinery spares, oils, lubricants, and all material resources. The role aims at overseeing stores’ operations, inventory accuracy, materials accountability, and internal controls, while providing leadership to a team of storekeepers.

Oversee receipt, storage, issuance, and reconciliation of all agricultural inputs, consumables, and machinery spares.
Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular physical counts, stock verification, and inventory audits.
Implement control procedures to prevent the issuance of incorrect chemicals or agricultural inputs.
Verification of input request forms, usage plans, and authorization from relevant agronomy personnel.
Implement and monitor internal control systems to prevent loss, damage, or misuse of farm materials.
Maintain accountability records for all issued materials, reconciling issued stock with field usage reports.
Ensure proper maintenance of the spares catalogue
Coordinate with the Workshop and field operations teams to forecast spares requirements and maintain minimum stock levels.
Manage the dispatch, delivery, and transportation of materials across multiple farm locations and warehouses.
Optimize transportation routes and modes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of inputs and outputs.
Develop and routinely update a detailed departmental work plan that clearly assigns storekeepers to specific farm sites, warehouses, or duties, based on workload, staffing levels, and daily operational needs.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports on inventory status, material consumption, losses, and reorder needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with operations and agronomy teams to align material supply with crop cycles and field plans.
