Job Purpose    


To effectively operate and analyse the bulk water supply system through the evaluation of the general operations referring to information logged on the monitoring telemetry / SCADA system.


Key Responsibility Areas    


Monitors / oversees the general operations of the water supply system of the eThekwini region.
Captures recordings of field work on to the Water Faults man Control Program.
Provides technical support and input regarding the information on reticulation details.
Ensures that all jobs, faults are captured, completed and closed out accordingly.
Ensures that the operating systems and equipment in the centre are operative at all times and request remedial work when necessary.
Attends to queries, complaints and/or deviations from standards in the operational application and service level.
Attends to processes / applications to support the operation of Control Centre.
Performs specific administrative tasks / activities associated with updating and reporting information.

Essential Requirements    


Trade Tested Artisan (Plumber).
Valid motor vehicle driving license
4 years relevant post apprenticeship experience.
Computer Literacy.

5 years relevant post apprenticeship experience.
