A reputable Oil & Gas service providing company in Takoradi is looking for qualified personnel to fill the position of Offshore Supervisors for their project department.
Responsibilities
• The Offshore Supervisors are responsible for the coordination, realization and follow up of offshore related activities. • Being the offshore contact person and point of contact with the clients and contractors to ensure the progress of offshore activities • Providing daily reports on all the offshore activities to the Operations Manager. • Participate in the risk analysis as required for the good performance of the work • Contribute to the design checks of the offshore aspects as well as compliance with all technical requirements, deliverables provided by the engineering team before transmission to the client • Ensure the proper quality, and traceability of fabrication works and assisted if required by the QA/AC leader. • Lead the required technical offshore meetings with clients and contractors and liaise onshore to ensure that the project documentation is properly filled out and accessible. • Ensure offshore cost and schedule follow up/reporting are in line with project requirement • Ensure completion of all the construction and pre-commissioning activities to ensure an efficient handover to the commissioning team.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Degree in engineering preferable mechanical, piping and/or structural engineering • Proven work experience in the oil and gas / offshore industry with a minimum of at least 15 years experience • Fluent in English (French is an advantage) • Must have a solid technical background with understanding and hands-on offshore experience
Technical skills Required
• Manufacturing, Metallic Structures, Boiler works and Pipework • Welding symbols, Isometric and Mechanical Drawing convention • Ability to use computer aided drawings and designs techniques • Preparing budget and negotiations • Project and risk management
