PURPOSE:


To assist the Department in accomplishing monthly payroll objectives accurately and timeously, through the utilization of a disciplined approach which will enable accurate reconciliation of required information. 


     KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:


Capturing of weekly paid wages employee data on Jarrison Time (time and attendance system) and SAP payroll system.
Jarrison time: Add and edit clocking’s, Shift pattern correction, exception reports.
Training Time Clerks and Group Leaders on Jarrison Time related queries.
Performing RMA calculations and submissions for employees going on disability.
Payment of employees on secondment (calculations of tax, pension and medical aid).
Ensure accurate calculation and processing of employee wages, including regular pay, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages, taxes, and benefits.
Loading of correct Garnishee deductions.
Loading of Various tax related/non-tax related earnings and deductions accurately (e.g. Long Service Awards/ Suggestion scheme awards, Study Assistance/ Sundry debtors and Insurance Excess, etc). 
Setting up of new Vendors for third party payments.
Analyze wage-related data, identify trends, and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
Responding to employee queries regarding wages deductions and benefits and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
Raising of monthly payment for Disability payroll.
Processing manual payments due to late submission of payroll input.
Assists in budgeting and forecasting wage-related expenses, ensuring alignment with company financial goals.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance in wage-related records and payments.
Liaises with various departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure seamless coordination and resolution of wage-related matters.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


Minimum NQF4 qualification / Matric & studying towards a qualification in related area (Business/Finance/HR).
Must be computer literate – Microsoft packages / SAP HR modules/Advanced Excel skills.
Must have experience in administration/finance/statistical calculations, data & formulas.
Must have experience in Jarrison Time (time and attendance system).
Must have experience in RMA calculations and payments.
Must have minimum 2 years’ experience in a remuneration/payroll environment in the Manufacturing Automotive Industry.
Basic understanding of tax, pension, provident, UIF and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Must be prepared to work overtime when required to do so.
