Job Summary:

The Assistant Production Officer will support the Production Officer in overseeing and coordinating all block production activities to ensure efficient operations and optimal quality of blocks. This role involves monitoring production processes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring that all production standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:


Assist the Production Officer in planning, scheduling, and supervising block production to meet demand and quality standards.
Monitor the production process to ensure blocks meet the company’s quality specifications.
Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure the timely availability of raw materials.
Assist in overseeing the maintenance and repair of block production equipment to minimize downtime.
Regularly inspect equipment and report any issues to the Production Officer or maintenance team.
Ensure blocks are produced to meet specified quality standards and perform quality checks as required.
Document any quality issues and assist in troubleshooting and resolving them promptly.
Help track raw material usage and ensure adequate inventory levels for continuous production.
Coordinate with the storekeeper to record materials used and blocks produced.
Ensure all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed on the production floor.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Keep accurate records of daily production output, equipment maintenance, and quality checks.
Assist the Production Officer in preparing weekly production reports for management.


Qualifications:


Education: OND/HND in Production Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably in block production or a similar industry.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of block production processes and equipment maintenance.
Other Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
