Hi!
I work two jobs - as a waitress and a cleaner. I know it's not the coolest work, but it pays the bills. Honestly, I get really tired and come home late.
I was offered a job at a bakery, working with dough, but I’ve never done that before.
I’m scared to leave my current jobs - what if it doesn’t work out and I end up with no job and no money?
What should I do?

  • Go do bakery.get skilled and start your own busssiness in future

  • look at the bakery offer as an opportunity, it's hard but you can learn a skill and in future set up your own business.

  • Never leave a job unless you have one new job

  • Wouldn’t your cleaning job be on your time ?
Take the Bakery work - if it fits schedule and home life.
Always helps to know how to cook - (smiles)....
Try and make it how you want it to go, best to your abilities and Family.
Family is important as well, IMHO !

  • Being scared is natural. The old world said, don’t try to leave your current situation and to fear the new. They have now infiltrated our economy and... government at the highest levels. But they are not really in charge.

Please realize, you have more skills that you imagine. There is a reason you’ve been offered this job. It’s more about your work ethic than knowledge. Both of your current jobs require a lot of attention to detail, they require a good amount of energy and stamina. Your current job also has a good handlers license and knowledge. You cleaning job makes you aware of cleanliness.

See you have a lot more skills for even more than this job you were offered. Don’t let this economic totalitarianism force you to be scared to leave a job for something more enjoyable and lucrative.

  • Been a waitress and a cleaner are very difficult Jobs. Your services are needed at all time same as cleaner. The Job you know is better than the one... you don't know. When customers give good report about the way you work. Employer are happy and if you complain many are waiting to take the Job. more

  • I'd say keep whichever one of your current jobs you have that will make allowance for you to include the bakery job. Then, if you really like the... bakery job, & makes enough money for you to quit the waitress/cleaner job quit it & only work the bakery job. Personally, if it was me, I'd be looking 4 a remote job while taking on the bakery job. But that's just me. more

  • First of all I'd like to congratulate you for the new offer. That said, I always find lists quite helpful in making decisions. So how about making a... list with all the pros and cons. Also try and list down a few leeways like maybe quitting one of the two jobs you have and substituting it with the bakery change. I know the comfort zone is a sure bet.... But giving change a fair chance is the only way you'll grow. You have to let go a little bit ..to give room for growth  more

  • I think you have to talk about that to your employer that you actually have no experience about the work and just see their response about that
