Hi!
Yesterday I had an interview that lasted almost 3 hours. They asked questions like “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” and “Why do you want to work at our company?”
They didn’t offer any tea, coffee or even water the whole time.
Today they called and offered me the job. But now I’m not sure - if they treat people like that, is it worth working there?
What do you think?

  • its not easy with interviewers but three hours really? for what??

  • What if not offering a drink was part of an interview? You may find your persistence is the reason why they gave you that job. Focus on your mission... and let go of the past more

  • Good work, it's fit for you. Now is to zero into organization indutrisl focus. Be strategic!

  • Don’t be such a baby about it. If you’re wondering how they treat their employees, ask to shadow a person in the position you’re applying for. Then... you could get the scoop from those in the trenches. Don’t go off of what one person tells you. Ask several. There’s always a few unhappy workers no matter if they’re treated like gold. Some people just can’t be happy.

Next time bring your own coffee.

  • Did you ask for anything to drink?

  • Give it a try congratulations

  • Do research about what the company is like to work for. A three hour interview with no offer of a beverage shows disrespect to your time and a lack of... hospitality.

What is your gut telling you about working there? Listen to that

  • Please consider this position. You may be able to make the change you wanted to see. If the culture of this organization deserves some adjustment,... since you are aware of what it is, you may bring it to a level of consciousness to the leadership and help them enhance it. more

  • You can take it, see if you like working with them or not, and if you don't you can always just quit.

  • 3 hours seems a long a time but think of politicians and other public high office holders including board of directors who spend far more than that... on a regular basis, discussing issues that affect management or people’s lives. Success don’t come easy that’s the way life works. You were there for a specific purpose which was the job interview. Hospitality that may be, was a reasonable expectation that was no way a guarantee. It would’ve been worst if you had spent all that time and failed to get the job in the end. You got the job, which is the most important thing. Best of luck.👍👍 more

  • They are giving you an opportunity to bring in change. Start with tretmemnt to visitors/interviewees among others.

  • Offering tea, coffee or what ever does not make then good . you have passed the test.

  • Maybe a little bit of more due diligence on the Company before you accept.

  • Hi
The fact that you passed the interview after a 3hours grilling is a proof that you are a perfect fit for them. Refer to their mission statement and... the values they stand for. You can also check on their customer reviews to see if they fulfill what is in the value statement. If the reviews are good, most likely even employees are being regarded highly. Go for it....! more

  • Well, I feel like you should take the job but ask them for money for all of that time in the interview! SAG-AFTRA makes sure that certain actors get... paid for auditions, so why not you? (See SAG rules here: https://www.sagaftra.org/do-performers-get-paid-auditions) more
