The Study Abroad Officer or Education Consultant is responsible for guiding and supporting students interested in studying abroad. This role involves providing accurate information on overseas universities and courses, assisting with admission and visa processes, and ensuring students are well-prepared for their study journey. The officer builds strong relationships with students, parents, partner institutions, and other stakeholders to promote international education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:


Counsel and guide students on study abroad options based on their academic background, career aspirations, and financial capabilities.
Provide up-to-date information on international universities, programs, admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and living arrangements.
Assist students with application processes, including document preparation, application submission, and follow-up with institutions.
Guide students through visa application processes and prepare them for interviews where necessary.
Organize and participate in student recruitment events, education fairs, webinars, and seminars.
Maintain strong relationships with partner universities and institutions to stay informed about program updates and policies.
Support students in arranging accommodation, travel, and pre-departure briefings.
Manage and maintain accurate student records and update CRM systems regularly.
Follow up with students after departure to provide ongoing support and collect feedback.
Contribute to marketing activities, including content creation for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Achieve individual and team targets for student enrollments and revenue.


Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Relations, Social Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
Previous experience as an education consultant, study abroad counselor, or in student advisory services (preferred).
Strong knowledge of international education systems, university admission procedures, and visa processes.
Must have relevant certification.
At least 3 years experience.
Ability to use study abroad portals.
Ability to profile students and offer end-to-end support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to students and parents from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
