Job Overview:

Mechanic On The Go is seeking a dedicated and organized Workshop Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our automotive workshop. This role is responsible for ensuring that all vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance services are completed efficiently and to the highest standard of quality. The Workshop Operations Manager will also ensure that the workshop environment, equipment, and staff are well-maintained and organized to guarantee smooth operations and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:


Workshop Management: Supervise daily workshop activities, from vehicle inspections and repair workflows to quality checks, ensuring timely and accurate service completion.
Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing the quality of services provided and resolving any customer concerns or complaints related to workshop operations.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the workshop team, including technicians, inspectors, and support staff, to ensure high morale, productivity, and adherence to company standards.
Equipment and Inventory Management: Regularly inspect workshop equipment to ensure it is in good working condition, coordinate any necessary repairs, and maintain an organized inventory of tools and parts.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement operational processes and guidelines that improve efficiency, safety, and quality of service in the workshop.
Quality Assurance: Conduct spot-checks on vehicles to confirm the quality of work done and ensure all safety standards are met before vehicle release to customers.
Scheduling and Workflow Management: Coordinate work schedules and task assignments to balance workloads and minimize delays, ensuring an efficient workflow.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, including completed repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules, for reporting and analysis.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards in the workshop, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Requirements:


Location: Must live in or near Ikeja, Lagos, to enable prompt accessibility to the workshop.
Experience: Proven experience in automotive workshop operations or a similar management role.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive repair, inspection, and maintenance procedures.
Leadership Skills: Excellent people-management skills with experience in team coordination and staff supervision.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address operational challenges promptly and implement effective solutions.
Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with customers, team members, and management effectively.
