Hi everyone! I’ve been managing a small department for two months now and still can’t fill one position. There are two energetic girls, but they don’t quite meet the required level and one smart guy, but he’s clearly an introvert. Who would you recommend hiring? I value both intelligence and communication skills.
Thanks!

  • Hi Gregory.Being an introvert has nothing to do with derivery. Its just a character like an extrovert.l guess there are also issues with the it.lf his... being an introvert can allow him do basic things like communication and collaboration that the job requires, then no need for alarm. more

  • Hiring an introvert can be one of the best decisions you make for your team. I had the privilege of working with an incredibly talented introverted... colleague who consistently exceeded expectations. Her sharp intellect and thoughtful approach to problem-solving not only made her a standout performer but also allowed her to navigate challenges seamlessly. She tackles tasks with diligence and precision, ensuring that every project is completed effectively and on time. Her ability to contribute valuable insights during discussions adds depth to our team dynamics. more

  • Hire the candidate that’s actually qualified. If none of them are, continue your search until you find the qualified candidate. This will avoid time... wasted on possible increased hours for training, lower risks for mistakes, as well as replacing the unqualified candidate.  more

  • In my professional experience I say hire both. You can have them train and work together to learn from each other. This also allows you to see... performance and if needed then keep the best candidate. But you might keep both to appeal to the variety of your clients, enabling you to do more in terms of sales or #'s more

  • Hire the introvert. His only competition will be himself. He will be social when he becomes comfortable

  • It's impossible to advise you from this distance of course. That said, beyond what you already know about these candidates, I'm sure you can design an... interview process and sample job assignment that reflects the job requirements and will enable you to gauge their respective job capabilities. Among other things to consider of course is a candidate's ability to maintain a dignified and respectful social media presence.  more
