Duties and Responsibilities


Under the supervision of the Head of ICT and in close collaboration with the ICT/Finance/Procurement and HR team, the intern will:
Support the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports.
Assist in cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data to generate actionable insights.
Contributes to the automation and optimization of reporting processes.
Connect to multiple data sources (Excel, SQL databases, APIs, cloud services, etc.).
Build interactive dashboards and reports using:(Charts (bar, line, pie, Tables and matrices, Slicers and filters, Maps and KPIs)
Design for user experience: consistent layout, intuitive navigation, color themes.
Schedule data refreshes via Power BI Service.
Provide general administrative and ICT support to the ICT unit as required.


Expected Outputs:


Functional and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
Cleaned and well-documented datasets.
Documentation of data sources, transformations, and business logic.
Weekly status updates and a final presentation/report summarizing work completed.
Share dashboards with stakeholders and manage access via workspaces and row-level security (RLS).

Competencies

Required Skills and Experience

Education:


Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field. (such as a Master’s Programme, or higher)
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Software Engineering
Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree Programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation.
Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
